PURPOSE:To provide a compact and high-sensitivity vibration gyro with a simple configuration. CONSTITUTION:Three vibration pieces 14, 16, and 18 are protruded from a base part 12 and only a pair of piezo elements are provided at the vibration pieces. Then, the vibration piece 14 is excited along the X axis by a piezo element 20. The vibration of the vibration piece 14 is propagated to vibration pieces 16 and 18. The vibration state of the vibration piece 18 which vibrates along the X axis after the vibration of the vibration piece 14 vibrates is detected by a piezo element 22 provided at the vibration piece 18 and is reflection on the excitation of the vibration piece 14. On the other hand, a rotary angular velocity omega around Z axis is applied to a vibration gyro 10, the vibration of the vibration piece 14 is propagated and coriolis force is operated on the vibration piece 16 which is vibrating along the X axis and then the vibration piece 16 vibrates along Y axis. Then, the vibration state along the Y axis of the vibration piece 16 is detected by a piezo element 24. |
