<p>PURPOSE:To purify air by carrying out operation for slowly and quietly sucking fine particles when removing dust in a room and carrying out operation for rapidly sucking dust if there is smoke of cigaret. CONSTITUTION:Minus high voltage is applied to a conducting thin wire 5 arranged at some distance from and opposite to a metal plate 6 curved in a arc and having a lot of air permeable holes, and grounding is given to or plus high voltage is applied to the metal plate 6. In this way, dust ionized by the thin wire 5 is sucked together with air in a room into an air permeable filter 7 placed on the metal plate 6 and given dielectric polarization by the rotary driving of a fan 9 with a motor. Air purification where dust contained in the air is detected by a detector and adsorbed by the air permeable filter so that the detected value may be prescribed set one or less and the purified air is returned to the room is carried out.</p> |
