<p>PURPOSE:To reclaim a coatable heat-insulating material from used tires by chipping fibers from the tires with a buffing machine, kneading the fibers, a small amount of an adhesive and a very small amount of water to form a mortar-like product. CONSTITUTION:90wt.% fibers prepared by chipping fibers from used tires with a buffing machine are mixed with 0.8wt.% water-soluble wood bonding agent and 0.2wt.% water, and the obtained mixture is kneaded to form a mortar-like product. This product is applied to the wall of a building by e.g. spraying to form a rubber heat-insulating layer of a finished thickness of about 5mm.</p> |
