PURPOSE:To raise the efficiency of a rotary cylinder, by locating means for fastening a cylinder heat cover to a cylinder also at the area near the cylinder top having the smallest thickness, and thereby reducing distortion of the cylinder, drop of the volumetric efficiency, and compression loss. CONSTITUTION:In order to prevent deformation of a cylinder 1 caused possibly at the time of fastening a cylinder head cover 11 to the cylinder 1, part of a plurality of internal threads used for receiving bolts 12 serving as means for fastening the cylinder head cover 11 to the cylinder 1 are located at the area near the cylinder top 8 having the smallest thickness. By employing such an arrangement, the spring force of a sheet packing 9, by which deformation of the cylinder 1 near the cylinder top 8 is possibly caused, is made greater than the fastening force of the bolts 12 and the top surface of cylinder 1 is urged storng onto the lower surface of the cylinder head cover 11, so that deformation of the cylinder 1 can be prevented. As the result, it is enabled to reduce compression loss and to raise the efficiency of a rotary compressor. |
