PURPOSE:To obtain a Zn plated steel wire having extremely good fatigue strength, in molten zinc plating of the steel wire, by specifying a bath temp. and a bath immersing time. CONSTITUTION:In subjecting a steel wire to molten Zn plating, an An bath with a temp. of 450 deg.C or less is used as well as the immersing time in the Zn bath is limited to 15sec or less. By this condition, the thickness of an Fe-Zn alloy layer can be controlled in precision of a practical level and can be adjusted to a thickness of about 15mum enhancing the same transitionally. By this method, there is no fear for constituting a hindrance on a standpoint securing a plating adhesion amount required by the steel wire and it is pref. to efficiently employ tensile strength and other mechanical properties inherently possessed by the base material of the steel wire. |
