INSPECTION OF INTERNAL-CONBUSTION ENGINE

PURPOSE:To make the inspection in a maintenance shop or the like more efficient by a method wherein the integrated value of the operating time of a fuel injection valve driving signal is obtained while the internal-combustion engine equipped with an electronic type fuel injection system is being operated under a predetermined load condition to inspect the fuel consumption or the like thereof. CONSTITUTION:A probe 12 is provided between a solenoid 7 and a resistor 6 to pick up a voltage pulse series impressed to the solenoid 7. This series is shaped in a wave-form shaping circuit 13 and thereafter the pulse width of respective pulses is counted by a counter 15 utilizing a clock 14. On the other hand, an electric source voltage is detected from the terminals of a car battery and is converted into a digital amount to input both of them into a microprocesser 17. When an operation is effected based on an eqation during changing a load imposed to the engine by a loading device A into various loads, the fuel consumption in a predetermined period of time T may be obtained. The result of this operation is displayed on an indicating device 19 and the mode of the indication may be commanded freely by the operator of a measuring equipment C.
