PURPOSE:To reduce the intra-cell differential pressure of a cell and oxidizing agent gas and improve the stabilty and reliability of a fuel cell by partitioning a gas channel into two or more so that adjacent small gas flow directions may be opposed to each other. CONSTITUTION:Manifolds 5A, 5B, 6A, and 6B are partitioned into small manifolds 5C-5F and 6C-6F by a partition plate 10. Thus, the gas flow in gas channels 3 and 4 consists of the small gas flow of two systems which are arranged in parallel to the main surface of an electrode plate that inserts the pertinent gas channels. Besides, these small manifolds are provided with gas induction ports 7C, 7E, 8C, and 8E and gas exhaust ports 7D, 7F, 8D, and 8F, respectively. As a result, in the gas channel 3, fuel gas consists of the small gas flow of the two opposed systems. Since the air and hydrogen gas channel inside a cell laminated body is divided into two systems, differential pressure can be reduced to one half the conventional one. |
