<p>PURPOSE:To load a cassette reliably by moving a paper feed member in the direction apart from the cassette when loading or discharging the paper feeding cassette. CONSTITUTION:A paper feed device 33 is constituted with a paper feed roller 14B, a paper feed cassette 13, etc., and the first and the second guide plates 36, 37 are arranged on the fitting section 34 so as to form a conveyance passage 58 for the sheet P, then a coupling section 46 is formed on an oscillation arm 45 fitted beneath the guide plate 37 together with an elastic paper feed roller 14B so that the arm 45 is energized toward the cassette 13 side by a spring 59. When the main body 63 of the cassette 13 is inserted into the fitting section, it is guided along a guide member 50 until a pin 70 of the main body 63 gets into contact with the end face 50a so as to prevent it from being drawn out, and when the main body 63 further hits the coupling section 46, the roller 14B is rotated opposing the spring 59 and collide with the guide plate 37, therefore, it does not collide with the sheet P in the cassette 13.</p> |
