PURPOSE:To provide a titled device which prevents the production of defective castings, reduces the fluctuations in demensional accuracy and improves production efficiency by clmapling both side surfaces of sand molds which are molded continuously with an automatic molding machine and which are heretofore used in flaskless casting by means of keep plates. CONSTITUTION:This clamping device is beforehand provided in a charging station. Plural pieces of sand molds 1 which are extruded by a moldig machine and advnce in series on a skid 2 of a charging table are held and clamped of both sides by keep plates 4 actuated by cylinders 5. Since the cylinders 5 are mounted in framework by vibrationproof rubber 9 having flexibility, it is possible to clamp the side faces of the sand molds with the plates 4 in conformity with the side faces of the sand molds under uniform force. In this state, molten metal is charged successively into the molds 1 in the charging station. The final sand mold in the clamping device is charged with the molten and is advanced as it is until there are no more swells, after which the molds are unclamped. |
