ANTIDOTE-CONTAINING COMPOSITIONS FOR COMBATTING WEEDS

The invention relates to antidote-oontaining new compositions for combatting weeds. These new compositions contain at least one he?cidally active agent selected from the group consisting of thiol OE bamate, substituted urea, substituted triazine, chloroacetanilide and uracil type compounds and 1 to 50 % by weight, calculated for the weight of the herbicidally active agent, of at least one antidote of the general formula (I), wherein X stands for hydroxy, amino, C1-5 alkylamino, di-(C1-5alkyl)-amino, C1-5 hydroxyalkylamino or C1 5 aIkoxyalkylamino group, and Y stands for hydrogen, halogen, nitro group or a C1-5 alkyl group, in a total amount of 10 to 90 % by weight, along with 90 to 10 % by weight of one or more conventional formulation aids. The invention relates further to a method for combatting weeds. According to this method at least one of the above herbicides and at least one of the above antidotes are applied onto the plants or area to be treated either simultaneously or separately.
