PURPOSE:To provide a titled continuous casting machine which causes virtually no breakout despite high speed operation of ingot drawing by forming spiral grooves on th outside circumferential surface of a mold for inside walls for casting of a hollow ingot, and supporting said mold for inside walls rotatably in one direction together with a main shaft. CONSTITUTION:Spiral grooves are formed on the surface of said mold 3 for inside walls and the mold 3 is rotated together with a main shaft 5, whereby a hollow ingot 1 is extruded forcibly downward by spiral feeding. Therefore, this is exactly the same as the application of oscillations on a mold 2 for outside walls and it is possible to apply the same effect on the inside and outside surfaces of the ingot 1. Since guiding columns 9 supporting many drumlike rolls 11 pivotally are provided in continuation to the bottom of the mold 3, the ingot 1 can be drawn uniformly and smoothly on the inside and outside circumferential surfaces. Further, a main shaft 5 is so arranged that the shaft 5 is moved in conformity with the measured values of ultrasonic thickness meters 24, 24'; therefore, the adjustment of the wall thickness of the ingot 1 is made possible and the ingot 1 having no deviated thickness is obtained. |
