The invention concerns a roll unit intended for use in a rolling stand, which contains grooved rolls 2a, 2b. At a journal 4 for each roll there is configured a stop shoulder 6, which is arranged in a hydrostatic pressure bearing 7, which is arranged in a bearing housing 8 fastened to a frame 1. The bearing contains stop disks 9, 10, while a single stop disk is arranged at both end surfaces of each shoulder, essentially parallel with it. At the sides of the disks facing the end surfaces of each shoulder are configured hydrostatic pockets 13, which are joined to a liquid source 14, which is configured such that one can regulate its capacity. The liquid source is connected to the hydrostatic pockets in one stop disk of one roll and to the pockets in the stop disk of the other roll arranged just in front of the disk. The roll unit is provided with a second liquid source 15 with adjustable capacity, which is connected to the hydrostatic pockets of the other stop disks. As a result, by changing the capacity of the liquid sources 14, 15 one can change the mutual position of the shoulders 6 in relation to the stop disks 9, 10 so as to regulate the mutual position of the rolls 2a, 2b directly during the course of the rolling. <IMAGE> |
