PURPOSE:To enable to accurately detect an incomplete combustion condition and to stop the combustion, by a method wherein a fall of the surface temperature of a burner taking place in an incomplete combustion condition is detected by a temperature sensor, in the title device composed of a ceramic plate. CONSTITUTION:The combustor comprises the burner 2 which is composed of a ceramic plate and provided at an upper opening part of a gas chambers S communicated with a mixing pipe 1, and the outside peripheral edge of the burner 2 is held by a frame 3. On the other hand, a fuel nozzle 7 is provided at a tip opening part of the mixing pipe 1, and a solenoid valve 8 for controlling the supply of a fuel is incorporated on the upstream side of the nozzle 7. The combustion safety device is composed of the temperature sensor 9 detecting the combustion temperature in the burner 2 and an electronic circuit 10 forming a signal for operating the valve 8 from a detection signal of the sensor 9 and a reference signal. The circuit 10 stops the supply of the fuel to the nozzle 7 by closing the valve 8 when the detection value of the sensor 9 is lower than the surface temperature of the burner 2 at the time of appropriate combustion. |
