PURPOSE:To obtain a toner having a superior property of absorbing high frequency energy and capable of fixing an image in a short time by using an ester compound of glycol having a mol.wt. in a prescribed range and carboxylic acid as a binder. CONSTITUTION:Polyester glycol represented by formulaIor polyether glycor represented by formula II (where each of R<1> and R<3> is 2-6C alkylene; R<2> si 2-10C alkylene; each of n and m is a number making the mol.wt. 200-2,000) is reacted with aliphatic or aromatic carboxylic acid such as stearic acid or phthalic acid to form an ester compound. Next, 100pts.wt. this ester compound (modified glycol) is kneaded with about 1-15pts.wt. colorant such as carbon black or nigrosine base, and the kneaded material is pulverized and classified to obtain a toner. |
