PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform engagement in a perfect state by setting an engine speed slightly higher than the real synchronous speed and then slightly lower than that, while pushing the jaw clutch under engagement synchronizing the shift to a target gear ratio to an engagement position and repeating the reverse operation. SOLUTION: When a master clutch 16 is engaged after separated from the engaged gear ratio for preparing for engagement of a selected target gear ratio, in downshifting, an instruction is issued to an engine to set a speed a little lower than the real synchronous speed, and in upshifting, to set a little higher than that so as to prevent the excess of the synchronous speed. Then, while a shift actuator 34 pushes a jaw clutch member corresponding to the target gear ratio to an engagement position, the speed of the engine 14 is controlled to be a little higher and next a little lower speed than the present real synchronous speed. The jaw clutch under engagement alternately repeats the driving and driven states and passes a zero torque transmission state so as to avoid the risk of the torque lock. The engagement can be thus performed perfectly.
|
