PURPOSE: To provide a printer capable of enhancing printing quality by removing the waste refuse or dust bonded to an ink ribbon before printing by relatively small-scaled apparatus constitution. CONSTITUTION: A thermal transfer ink ribbon 1 having predetermined width and a thermal head 2 arranged so as to face to the running passage of the ink ribbon 1 are provided and a destaticizing brush 3 is provided on the upstream side of the thermal head 2 in contact with the ink ribbon 1 and magnets 4N, 4S consisting of N-poles and S-poles are arranged on the upstream side of the destaticizing brush 3 so as to hold the ink ribbon 1 therebetween. |
