PURPOSE:To enhance anti-leakge performance of an alkali battery by using a gasket composed of a sealing plate, equipped with an electric collector in its middle on the inner surface as in a single solid body, and a methylpenten resin penetrating the collector into the through hole in the middle part liquid-tightly. CONSTITUTION:A positive pole agent 6 is provided in the battery case 2 by means of pressure molding to house a gel-state negative pole 8 through a partition wall 7, and an electric collector 2 welded to the central part of the inner surface of a sealing plate 1 is inserted into the negative pole 8 through a through hole 3 in the middle of a dish-shaped gasket 4 made of methylpenten resin to form an alkali battery, where the sealing plate 1 is caulked fast to the case 5 through the gasket 4. At this time, the relation between phi1 as outside diameter of collector 2 and phi2 as inside diameter of through hole 3 shall be set according to phi1/phi2=1.3-1.8. Accordingly, this gasket 4 of methylpenten resin can give an ideal sealing condition to assure excellent anti-leakage performance. |
