PURPOSE:To eliminate shocks given by floating logs etc. and thereby enhance the running performance of a small-sized high speed boat equipped with underwater blades by installing the blades close to the bottom of the boat in such an arrangement that each blade if formed steppedly by the aid of a support plate, whose front edge is inclined down toward the back. CONSTITUTION:Four underwater blades 2a, 2b have each an angle of attack to generate buoyancy and are installed close to the bottom of the boat 1 through props 3a, 3b in the form of flat plate formed into a single solid body with the underwater blades. Accordingly, the props 3a, 3b are short in the vertical direction and the front edges 4a, 4b are inclined down toward the stern with an inclination angle of approx. 20 deg., so that floating books etc. which happened to run against the front edges 4a, 4b will not give any harder shock but flow down along the edges smoothly. The underwater blades 2a, 2b have a triangular form viewed from above, where the front edges 5a, 5b run aslant outward with the angle beta approx. 20 deg., to increase the buoyancy. |
