The invention concerns a valve for maintaining setpoint pressure in a vessel within previously determined limits, containing at least one primarily incompressible first medium and a compressible second medium and designed to have the incompressible medium drained off. The pressure is created by supplying the first medium to the vessel at the higher pressure. Such a valve is provided with a first course 3, 53, designed to be connected to the source for the first medium, and a second course 4 communicating with the first course, designed to be connected to the vessel. A further course 5, 53 is arranged, designed for the draining off of the first medium, wherein a valve body 10 is designed to close and open this course 5, 53.
