<p>The ic engine has a piston (1) contacting the combustion gases in one section and integral with a complementary piston (2) which is coaxial to it. A third piston (4) is connected to the output linkage and is coaxial to the first two. A volume is enclosed between the piston in contact with the combustion gases and that connected to the output linkage. The second piston has a larger diameter than the first. There are two corresponding cylinders (7,10) in which the pistons slide and define an annular space, the volume of which varies with movement of the pistons.</p> |
