PURPOSE:To stabilize separation effect, by providing an insulating layer with equal dielectric thickness to that of a photoreceptor at the inside of a metallic casing of a separation corona charger to detach a copy paper from the drum after the image on the photoreceptor drum is transposed. CONSTITUTION:An insulating layer 12 is provided at the inside of a metallic casing 11 of a separation corona charger 6. A current flows between a corona wire 10 and a photoreceptor and metallic casing 11 from a constant current power pack 13 and the toner on the photoreceptor is transposed on a copy paper 9. When the thickness of the insulating layer 11 is made equal to that of the dielectric material of the photoreceptor 1, the double separation effect can be obtained independently of types of originals. |
