PURPOSE:To prevent the burst of a primary battery due to the charging by monitoring the short trouble of a diode used for prevention of the charging applied from a commercial power supply via a monitor circuit for battery voltage and producing an alarm if the battery voltage exceeds its set upper limit level at the time of troubling. CONSTITUTION:A Zener diode 56 is connected from a constant voltage power supply via a resistance 58 to stabilize the reference voltage, and this joint (point B) is connected to the input of the other side of a comparator. In such a case, however, the reference voltage does not require so high strictness therefore can be acquired via a resistance voltage divider by using a resistance in place of the diode 56. The output terminal of a comparator 72 is connected to an alarm circuit 80. Then, the output is produced at the output terminal when the voltage obtained at a joint (point A) between a diode 54 and a limiting resistance 52 is higher than the voltage secured at the point B. The circuit 80 actuates an alarm to warn the necessity of repairs in case the output of the comparator 72 is confirmed. Thus it is possible to prevent the bursting of a primary battery. |
