A panel e.g. an additional window arranged at the area of a wall opening, said panel comprising a mounting frame of profile material having at least one base part of essentially U-shaped cross-section and a plate-shaped element e.g. a pane (16) arranged therein by its rims, the base part being formed by a glass profile (1) having an essentially L-shaped cross-section and a glass fillet (2) connected herewith, the connection comprising a groove and an extension engaging said groove. The profile material consists of a relatively inflexible substance and on its wall facing the interior of the U the extension of the connection has a cam profile (6) which grips behind a cam profile (7) on the opposite wall of the groove when the glass fillet deflects outwardly.
