<p>A low dissipation two wire thermostat for connection to an alternating current source and a load to be controlled wherein, on alternate half cycles of the source, a rechargeable DC source, is recharged and, on the opposite half cycles, a capacitor is charged to control a comparator's output so as to cause a switching action that prevents high power dissipation in the thermostat for both the "on" and "off" conditions.</p> |
