PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the cutter bit replacing work of shield machine. SOLUTION: Multiple rotary rings 18 divided in the direction of the shafts 19 of spokes 17 constituting a cutter face 11 are rotatably fitted to the shafts 19, and cutter bits 12 fitted to the rotary rings 18 can be rotated against the shafts 19 of the spokes 17. A group of selected rotary rings 18 and the remaining rotary rings 18 are rotated in only one of opposite directions not in the other direction, by a locking means. During the work of the working face, the freely rotated rotary rings 18 and the hooked and fixed rotary rings 18 are switched by the switching of the turning direction of the cutter face 11, the replacing work of the cutter bits 12 is automatically conducted, and the lives of the cutter bits 12 are prolonged for enduring long-distance execution. |
