PURPOSE:To perform sure and quick detection, by delivering an amount of movement when a weight is moved with the vibration of vertical and horizontal directions of an earthquake to a slider via a plurality of pins provided through a through-hole of a guide and detecting the seismic intensity from the amount of movement. CONSTITUTION:A pin 9 passing through a plurality of longitudinal holes 8 up and down located with an equal interval is provided with a guide 2, the lower end is borne on the same circumference of a weight 6 and the upper end of the weight 6 is at the same height of the rotating center of a flexible joint 7. A slider 10 freely slidably inserted to a vertical shaft 3 is supported on the upper end of the pin 9, and when the weight 6 moves up and down at the upper and lower vibrations, and the slider 10 is moved up and down correspondingly. Further, at horizontal vibration, the weight 6 is shaken at the rotating center of a flexible joint of the weight 6 to lift up the pin 9 and the slider 10 moves up and down. The seismic intensity can be detected through the change in the amount of movement. |
