PURPOSE:To secure adhesion of the side of a type belt whereon types are mounted to a platen by a method wherein the part on the platen with which a type belt does not come in contact is projected slightly forward and the end part of the type belt near types is inserted into a groove. CONSTITUTION:The additive member 4a of the platen 4 is used to provide the groove part and the additive member 4a is fixed by screw 9 to the platen. As seen from the width direction of the type belt 1, a type 1a is placed near the upper end and a detected part 1b is near the middle and the upper end part of the type belt 1 is inserted into a very narrow U or V type groove formed by mounting the additive member 4a on the upper part of the platen 4. Which part in the platen 4 the upper part of the type belt 1 runs along in the height direction is decided by the belt width and the position of the crown of a couple of pulleys 2, 3. |
