PURPOSE:To obtain laminated glass with high transparency by interposing a thermosetting resin prepared by blending an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer with org. peroxide between glass sheets, uniting them in a body, and heat curing the resin layer. CONSTITUTION:A thermosetting resin prepared by blending 100pts.wt. ethylene- vinyl acetate copolymer with <=5pts.wt. org. peroxide as a curing agent is interposed between glass sheets and united in a body. The preferred vinyl acetate content of the copolymer is 15-50wt%, and to enhance the initial modulus and to increase the penetration resistance a compound contg. an acryloxy or methacryloxy group may be added. The org. peroxide used as the curing agent is required to form radicals by decomposition at >=100 deg.C. After the uniting the resin layer is heat cured in an autoclave. |
