PURPOSE:To execute processing with high accuracy and also at a high speed, by conversationally selecting a reference point of each picture, dividing the inside of the picture by plural quadrilateral areas, converting them by the respective different mapping functions, and executing the processing repeatedly. CONSTITUTION:In a picture memory 1 and a picture memory 2, for instance, a 3-band picture taken by a resource inverstigating satellite, and a map picture of the almost same area as said area are digitally converted and stored, respectively. Pictures of these memories 1, 2 are read out in order in a raster scanning state by a scroll controller 5. The map picture is a single band, is converted to a color picture in accordance with a variable density value by a color transducer 4, and is displayed on a monitor 3. On the other hand, the 3-band picture read out from the memory 1 is directly inputted to the monitor 3, and composite color display by 3 bands is executed. The picture on this monitor 3 can be moved by operating a joy stick 6, and also its conversion is executed by generating a mapping function at every small area of the picture by a reference picture rectangle generator 10, a converted picture quadrilateral generator 11, etc. |
