<p>PURPOSE:To improve the transient stability of a system stabilizer by stopping the output of the system stabilizer when an effective power or terminal voltage is reduced, and applying the output of the system stabilizer again to an automatic voltage regulator upon lapse of the prescribed period of time after the recovery of the effective power or terminal voltage. CONSTITUTION:When a power system malfunctions, an effective power detector 11 detects the decrease in the effective power of a synchronous machine, a level detector 14 becomes inoperative, and a switch 13 is opened almost without delay. Thus, the signal of a system stabilizer 1 is removed from an automatic voltage regulator 2. When the malfunction is removed so that the effective power is recovered, a level detector 14 operates, but the switch 13 is closed after the lapse of the prescribed period of time by a timer 15. In this manner, a system stabilizer having high stability can be obtained.</p> |
