PURPOSE:To input a correction by a regular character key, and also to easily execute a reject correction by a person which is not versed in Braille points, by displaying not only a rejected Braille point pattern but also Braille points showing a proposed answer, a character corresponding to this proposed answer, a character showing the context, etc. CONSTITUTION:A character of a Braille point slip 1 is read by a character photoelectric converting part 22 in accordance with a difference of a reflection factor between a character part of the slip 1 and the part except the character, and by a Braille point photoelectric converting part 21, the character is read in accordance with a deference of a reflection factor between the recess part of the slip 1 and the plane part. The read signals from these converting parts 21, 22 are pre-processed by the respective Braille point and character pre-processing parts 31, 32, and are applied to a recognizing part 5. In this recognizing part 5, a Braille point pattern and a character pattern are discriminated by referring to a dictionary memory 4, and are inputted to a control part 8 through an answer storage part 6. In this state, in case when rejection has occurred, the Braille point pattern is supplied to a display part 11 from the pre-processing part 3, and a character corresponding to a proposed answer, a character showing the context, etc. are displayed on the display part 11 by an input from an input part 10, by which the operation is simplified. |
