PURPOSE:To obtain a stable operation with low vibration of a linear induction motor when the motor is electrically positioned at its stopping time by providing more than one upper and lower notches at the secondary side conductor side. CONSTITUTION:A travelling magnetic field generating coil 3 of 3-phase alternating currents is wound over the entire length of a pectinated portion 2 formed at one side face of a primary side core 1, and a single-phase coil 9 and a DC coil 10 are mounted. The two primary cores 1 are confronted via a gap with the coil 3 of the inside, and rails 4 are laid on the upper surface. On the other hand, a secondary side conductive plate is divided into left and right secondary side conductive plates 5a, 5b via a notch 6 formed at the center. An automotive body 7' having wheels 8 is suspended from the lower surface so that the secondary side conductive plate is disposed at the center of the gap of the cores 1, thereby forming a body section 7. The body section 7 is moved on the rails 4 via the wheels 8 by the travelling magnetic field produced by the coil 3. |
