PURPOSE:To obtain an optical connector where the precision of dimensions is high and the problem of the step on end faces is solved, by using a composite where 5-30wt% ball-shaped fine particles of an inorganic filler are mixed in the polycarbonate. CONSTITUTION:5-30wt% ball-shaped fine particles of an inorganic filler are mixed in the polycarbonate. In molded goods using this composite, the contraction is uniform, and the precision of dimensions is improved. Specially, since the hardness of molded goods approaches that of optical fibers, the end face step where end faces rise is restrained to a desired value. In respect to the molding method, a movable mold 10' having a slidable movable pin 17 is brought into contact with a fixed mold 10 having a fixed pin 16, and the pin 17 is fitted to the pin 16, and said composite is charged from a runner gate 18 to form a plug. This plug is used to complete an optical connector having said advantages by the conventional method. |
