The tube according to the invention for carrying out a radioimmunoassay has a funnel-like constriction (2) at one end which merges into a suction connection (3). Situated at the start of the constriction (2) is a fine-pored filter (4) or a layer of fine-grain material (4). The fine-pored filter (4) preferably has a retentivity for a mu m particle. The layer of fine-grain material (4) is preferably composed of silica gel, aluminium oxide or glass spheres having a particle diameter of 1 to 100 mu m. Both the fine-pored filter (4) and the layer of fine-grain material (4) are preferably supported by two frit plates (5, 6). The tube according to the invention is preferably composed of plastic and is dimensioned in such a way that it can be introduced into a standard well scintillation detector.
