The technical composition is composed of an envelope which can be opened, on tearing a small hole by hand at the corner, by a tear string on the fold line. A hole for tearing does not absolutely have to be necessary but the best solution is to punch tiny holes (as in the case of stamp edges) obliquely at the corner of the envelope. The technical problem was chiefly to open the letter without any aids. With my invention, any one could open the letter with one tear without difficulty and without any aids. Only one problem arises in the production of the letter, that is that the tear string cannot be stuck on before the envelope has been punched through. In my opinion, the tear string can be stuck horizontally onto the envelope roll beforehand (cf. Fig. 5), and when punching out the envelope, and also, at the same time, punching out the tiny holes, the tear string is already at the fold line. By this means, further operations are eliminated. <IMAGE>
