In order to facilitate the mounting of a temperature sensor on a heater for the purpose of electrically detecting the quantity of heat output by the heater, it being the case that the latter is assembled in a pressure-tight fashion from sheet-metal shells which have integrally formed beads which are arranged at a distance from one another and form ducts for heating medium which are situated opposite one another in pairs, and that the temperature sensor is to be arranged on the front of the heater between two adjacent ducts for heating medium, it is proposed that in the region of zones (5) of sheet-metal shells which are supported one against another on the inside there are arranged at least one mounting hole (6) penetrated by a temperature sensor mounting bolt (7) and a cable penetration hole (9), that the mutually opposite hole edge parts both of the mounting hole (6) and of the cable penetration hole (9) are connected to one another in a pressure-tight fashion, and that the temperature sensor cable (10) is guided through the cable penetration hole (9) to the rear of the heater. <IMAGE>
