PURPOSE:To judge the quality of an ion electrode, by calculating difference in the potential of an ion electrode obtained from each measurement thereof during the feeding of a standard solution while it is fed into or drained from a measuring vessel several times. CONSTITUTION:A sampler 1 transfers a sample cup 2 intermittently to a sampling position 4 with a driving mechanism. A nozzle 21 moves among the sample cup 2, a washing cup 24 and a measuring vessel 25 with a nozzle transference mechanism 23. Ion selection electrodes 28a, 28b and 28c and a compariso electrode 31 are provided in the measuring vessel 25. To judge the quality of the ion electrode, after the drain of a waste liquid from the measuring vessel 25 with a waste liquid pump 34, a standard solution in a standard solution tank 20 is fed into the measuring vessel 25 to measure the ion concentration of the standard solution. Then, following the drain of the standard solution for washing, it is fed into the measuring vessel 25 again. A difference is computed by a data processing section 35 between the measured value of the ion concentration of the standard solution and the preceding measured value to judge the quality of the electrodes. |
