Swarf removing machine tool, with primary and secondary working installations, both activated in a pre-determined drive relationship to each other, and a transmissions device connecting the two working installations with an intermediary coupling. The coupling (24, 24a) connects the working installations (14, 16) with the drive (26) in its engaged position, and in its disengaged position moves them out of connection with each other. - The coupling (24, 24a) incorporates an engagement device which is disengaged when overload occurs on the one working installation, and only reengages when the working installations return to their pre-determined workong relationship.
