PURPOSE:To print characters, symbols, numerals or the like having excellent shape and appearance, by providing a multiplicity of minute holes in the pattern of at least one type form of characters, symbols and numerals for printing which are provided on a metallic plate. CONSTITUTION:A character 12 formed in a copper plate 11 is composed of a multiplicity of minute holes 13.... To print the character 12, laser rays are projected from the upper side of the copper plate 11 to penetrate through the holes 13 constituting the character 12, whereby a character without conventional broken parts can be printed. Therefore, characters with excellent shape and appearance can be printed. |
