The carrier assembly is intended for lifting a boat on dry land or in the water on to a boat trailer. It comprises an (H-shaped) frame (6,7) which carries rotatable egg timer-shaped transverse rollers (4a,b) at the rear and front respectively and is supported on transverse horizontal pivots. The front end is provided with two forwardly diverging guide strips (3,8) which align the bow before the boat is towed on to the carrier, after which the keel settles on the two rollers. The pivot points are arranged between the two rollers, pref. nearer to the rear (4a) than to the front roller (4b).
