<p>Solid or liq. compsn. for rinsing laundry contains at least 0.05(0.1-2)wt.% pigment (I) functioning as a brightener and at least 0.05(0.05-50)wt.% cationic cpd. (II). (I) is esp. a natural or synthetic ultramarine blue or violet. (II) is a quat. ammonium or imidazoline salt, or an ethoxylated or propoxylated tert. amine (all these having at least one alkyl contg. at least 8(12-18)C), or a natural or synthetic (co)polymer contg. cationic gps. with degree of substitution at least 0.01. Opt. the compsn. also contains a water-soluble perfume, esp. at 0.01-3wt.%. The presence of (II) stabilises (I) in the formulation and allows rapid and complete exhaustion of both (I) and perfume. The use of optical brighteners is avoided and (II) can also act as softener, 'starch' or bactericide. The compsn. can be used for machine or hand rinsing.</p> |
