PURPOSE:To produce a light-weight and high-durability sprocket in-expensively, by using grooves or the like to fit sprocket main body plates, which are press- formed separately, a boss part reinforcing plate, and a tooth-shaped plate to one another to hold and fix the boss part reinforcing plate and the tooth-shaped plate between sprocket main body plates. CONSTITUTION:A band-shaped steel plate is pressed to form a tooth-shaped plate 5. A mild steel plate is pressed to form two sprocket main body plates 10 having boss parts 6, arms 7, corrugated outside circumferential plates 8, and flanges 9, and a thick soft steel plate is pressed to form a ring-shaped boss part reinforcing plate 11. The tooth-shaped plate 5 is wound along waves of outside circumferential plates 8 of sprocket main body plates 10 and is fitted to grooves of flanges 9. Rugged parts 12 of the boss part reinforcing plate 11 is matched to rugged parts 12 of a boss part 6 of one plate 10, and these plates are superposed. The other sprocket main body plate 10' is fitted to these plates to hold the tooth-shaped plate 5 between plates 10 and 10'. Next, plates 10, 10', and 11 are spot-welded in parts 13 of boss parts 6, and the tooth-shaped plate 5 is held and fixed. |
