PURPOSE:To facilitate processing of ash by a method wherein an aqueous slurry containing coal ash is condensed to a desired concentration to form a semi-solid condition and then discharged, and the water applied as a medium for the aq. slurry is used again under circulation. CONSTITUTION:At the terminal end of water pipe line 9 for discharging slurry is arranged a fractional concentrating tank 10 having a filter device 12 and a drain tank 13. In the midway of the pipe line 9 is arranged a flocculant adding line 11. The slurry containing the coal ash guided into the concentration tank 10 is concentrated due to its moisture content and removed through the filter device 12 to the drain tank 13. the supernatant water is properly discharged from the water drain port 14 to the drain tank 13, so that the liquid may show a concentration of more than 40% in a relatively short period of time, resulting in making a semi-solid material which may easily be transported. In turn, the water moved to the drain tank 13 is fed to the water storage tank 16 by the water feeding line 15 and used again as the stored water for the clinker hopper 2. |
