PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably and efficiently produce a phase difference film having uniform compensation performance for phase difference in the film plane. SOLUTION: This method includes a process to form a thermoplastic resin film by a soln. casting method, a process to cure the thermoplastic resin film to make the solvent content uniform in the film, a process to heat and dry the cured thermoplastic resin film under the falling rate of drying so that distribution of the solvent content according to film thickness is produced in the film, and a process to immediately stretch the dried thermoplastic resin film. |
