Evenly distributing grass, spread in stable - by rotating transverse worm with radial projections breaking up grass before moving it

The mechanism is intended for evenly distributing cut grass, silage etc. unevenly spread e.g. on a stable floor. It comprises a frame (1,2) coupled to the front of a tractor and carrying (3) a driven transverse shaft (4) provided with a worm over its entire length. At least one radial disc (6) is provided on the shaft whose dia. (A) is smaller than the outside dia. (B) of the worm whose windings are secured to the disc. The arrangement is such that the worm windings form radial projections (7) outside the disc dia. which break up the grass before moving it in lateral direction. The disc may be arranged half-way the shaft length whilst the worm has opposite-handed portions to either side of the disc to distribute in two rows.
