This control knob for potentiometers has an assembly which enables the user to clamp the knob to the equipment front panel, once it has been adjusted to the required psoition, thus preventing accidental readjustment. An inner sleeve (6) with saw-cuts (8) fits over the potentiometer shaft (4), and has a flange (7) which prevents it from passing through the front panel (3). It is fixed to the shaft by a grab-screw (10) in a collar ring (9). The outer cover (5) of the knob is used to turn the potentiometer (1) to the required position. A clamping screw (11) is then tightened, gripping the front panel (3) between the cover (5) and the flange (7) without undue strain on the shaft (4).
