PURPOSE:To simplify the structure of an optical switch, and also to make it inexpensive, by providing a photodetecting means on a photodetecting position of a reflected ray signal from a reflection surface in a state that pressure is not put on an elastic body. CONSTITUTION:An optical switch is usually in a turn-on state when an optical signal projected from a projecting means 1 is reflected by a reflection surface 11 and is photodetected by a photodetecting means 3. In this state, pressure is put on an elastic body 9 in order to control the optical signal, and when this elastic body 9 is deformed as shown in the figure, an angle of inclination of the reflection surface 11 is changed, by which a reflected ray signal cannot be photodetected by the photodetecting means 3 as shown in the figure due to change of an optical path, and a photodetecting signal of the photodetecting means 3 is turned off. When pressure against the elastic body 9 is removed, the elastic body 9 is restored to its original state again, and the reflected ray signal can be photodetected by the photodetecting means 3. |
