PURPOSE:To interlock with the stoppage of a process unit and step the strand of glass fiber without causing any damage to the strand by pressing the strand of glass fiber fed to the process unit with a pair of rollers. CONSTITUTION:The strand 6 of glass fiber is fed to at high speed from a winder 5 to process units 1 and 2 through a strand stopper unit 10 provided with a fixed roller 11 and a movable roller 12 respectively installed at a distance. Interlocking with the stoppage of the process units 1 and 2, the movable roller 12 is pressed against the fixed roller 11, thereby stopping the strand of glass fiber. |
