PURPOSE:The titled copolymer having improved weather resistance and impact resistance, comprising a rubberlike elastomer consisting of an acrylic monomer, a norbornene compound, and a copolymerizable monomer having no conjugated double bond, vinyl chloride, etc. and a monomer copolymerizable with it. CONSTITUTION:(A) 5-95pts.wt. rubberlike elastomer obtained by polymerizing 70-99wt% acrylic monomer consisting of one or more of acrylic alkyl ester containing 1-10C alkyl group and acrylic alkoxyalkyl ester containing 1-3C alkoxy group and 1-3C alkylene group with 1-30wt% norbornene compound consisting of one or more of 5-alkylene(vinyl)-2-norbornenes, and 0-29wt% monomer (e.g., styrene, etc.) copolymerizable with the two substances and having no conjugated double bond in the molecule is subjected to graft polymerizable with the two substances and having no conjugated double bond in the molecule is subjected to graft polymerization with (B) 95-5pts.wt. monomers consisting of 60-100wt% one or more monomers such as methacrylic alkyl ester containing 1-4C alkyl group, etc. and 0-40wt% monomer copolymerizable with them, to give the desired polymer. |
