PURPOSE:To prevent the polishing power of wire brush from lowering by a method wherein wire brushes capable of radial displacement are fitted onto a roller and the polishing work is performed while the rotary shaft of the roller is horizontally rocked or reciprocatingly moved toward the direction of its axis center line. CONSTITUTION:The polishing roller is made by fitting the wire brushes 2 radially onto the roller shaft 5 through elastic fittings 3 and rotated, while held by a supporting frame 8, in order to polish a material to be polished 1. During the polishing work, the supporting frame 8 is horizontally rocked as indicated with the arrow C or the roller is reciprocatingly moved in the supporting frame 8 toward the direction of its axis center line as indicated with the arrow D. Said rocking and reciprocating motions are performed by means of a cylinder 13. |
